Terms of Use

Accessing or using Careeocity indicates your agreement to these Terms. The Company reserves the right to terminate your account if it is found that you are not eligible to use this platform. The eligibility here is defined by Careeocity with no liability to disclose it to any party. Careeocity is free to modify the eligibility from time to time at its sole discretion without any liability to give prior notice to the Mentees.

The Mentor agrees to provide guidance and mentoring to the Mentees in good faith and to the best of their ability via audio, video, or other modes of communication available on Careeocity only. Any direct communication between a mentor and a mentee excluding Careeocity’s involvement gives Careeocity the right to instantly terminate the registration of the mentee or take any corrective action as it deems fit.

• The Mentee shall not use Careeocity for any illegal or unauthorized purpose or engage in activities that violate any applicable laws (including but not limited to copyright laws). Screenshots, recordings, or unauthorized sharing of content (including Email ID/’s, External Links, or any form of mutual connection details whatsoever) from Careeocity are strictly prohibited.
• The mentees shall not discuss anything outside the gambit of career counselling or career-related guidance. The discussions should be strictly related to mentees’ professional or career-related queries and associated mentoring.

Mentees are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials. Any unauthorized use of the account should be immediately reported. The Company shall not be liable for any loss due to unauthorized use of the account.

The Company may monitor, edit, or remove content that is deemed unlawful, offensive, defamatory, obscene, or in violation of these Terms.

Mentees shall be charged a certain fee specified at the time of booking a session. The fee is applicable only for that specific session and does not imply inclusion of, or the same rate for, any other service or resource availed through the platform. Careeocity reserves the right to modify the fee structure or terminate the contract in extreme scenarios.

The Company shall not be liable for any misrepresentation or omission of information by the Mentor or Mentee. The Company and the Mentor shall not be responsible for any damages or losses incurred by the Mentee based on the mentorship provided.

However, in case of any inappropriate language or behaviour used by the mentor during the session or other interactions on the chat, the mentor will be solely liable for such conduct and in no way represents CareeoCity’s interests in such cases. CareeoCity, in good faith, will intervene and make efforts to resolve such cases to the best of its capacity, though in no way being liable for such cases.

Disputes and complaints must first be referred via email (info@careeocity.com) to Careeocity with supporting proof and session recordings within 48 hours of the scheduled session. The Company reserves the right to adjust any refundable amount to the Mentees through adjustments in future mentorship sessions, as applicable. Refunds may be issued in cases of unresolved disputes, non-fulfillment of sessions, or violation of service agreements as identified by Careeocity.

The Company is committed to protecting user data. However, given the evolving digital landscape, it shall not be held liable for any data breaches beyond its control.

Service fees are subject to periodic revisions and applicable tax adjustments.

Mentees shall not contact mentors for private consultations outside the platform. Solicitation includes, but is not limited to, directly reaching out to Mentors for paid or unpaid mentoring services, asking for alternative mentorship programs, or redirecting Mentors to external platforms or personal services without prior written consent from the Company. In case of any such incident, the Company reserves the right to immediately cancel registration and cease refund of any fees already paid.

Mentees shall not disclose confidential information obtained from Careeocity to third parties. Careeocity retains full rights over all mentorship materials, including content, recordings, and any proprietary information shared within the platform.

The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate Mentee accounts based on Mentor feedback or inappropriate discussions during a session. Factors that may contribute to termination include consistent frequent cancellations, inappropriate conduct, or failure to comply with platform policies.

The Company may assign its rights or obligations to any third party without prior notice.

All sessions are recorded by Mentors and retained for 6 months to support any dispute resolution. Mentees should parallelly record their sessions to speed up any future dispute resolution process.

These recordings will be used for dispute resolution and will be stored by CareeoCity for 30 days post the day of the session. The videos will be deleted from the Company database on the 31st day.

There may be cases where the platform prefers to keep session recordings for a longer period for social media, training, or quality purposes. In such cases, due consent will be taken from the mentee in advance.

All recorded sessions, discussions, and content created on Careeocity remain the intellectual property of the Company.

Mentees agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from any claims arising due to breach of these Terms.

Mentees’ personal data shall be collected, stored, and processed in accordance with the Company’s Privacy Policy.

The Company may use cookies and other tracking technologies to enhance user experience and improve services.

Refunds for cancelled sessions follow the schedule below:

Mentees can reschedule a session up to 48 hours prior to the original scheduled time by cancelling the original session and booking a new session at the desired time. If less than 48 hours remain, the rescheduling request must be sent to Careeocity by email at info@careeocity.in. In this case, rescheduling will depend on the Mentor’s availability and consensus. If the mentor is not available, the mentee will have the option of cancelling the session per policy, or attending the session at the original schedule.

• If the mentee does not attend the session, or joins it late, the session will be considered completed at its scheduled time and marked as a successful session.
• If a mentor does not join a session, the mentee must send a complaint to info@careeocity.in with appropriate evidence. If found valid, the mentee will be eligible for a full refund of the session.
• If a mentor joins the session late, the mentee will have the option to extend the session to complete the full duration. If the mentee does not want to extend the session, this will be eligible for a pro-rata refund based on the duration of the session conducted.

Severability Clause. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Acceptance of Amendments. By using Careeocity, you agree to these Terms and any amendments made from time to time. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for updates.
