Can I connect with Mentees outside CareeoCity?
In accordance with our Platform Circumvention Prevention Policy, all communication — whether through text or video meetings — must take place exclusively via the official channels provided by the platform.
This measure is designed to:
- Ensure complete transparency in all interactions
- Safeguard the interests of both mentors and mentees
- Provide a clear record to assist in resolving any disputes or incidents, should they arise
Compliance with this policy is mandatory, and failure to adhere may result in appropriate action.

What percentage or fees does CareeoCity charge?
This is finalized during on-boarding of each mentor.
When and how will mentors receive their payments?
Payments shall be auto-credited to the registered bank account of the mentor, subject to TDS deductions. This depends on the TAT for bank processing but may range from 2-4 working days.
I will be unavailable for some time — what steps should I take?
There is a calendar option in the profile to fix your day on day availability. You can schedule your unavailability accordingly for the specific days/timeslots.
For MentEEs
How do I find the right mentor?

How can I cancel a session I have already booked?
Mentees can see a Cancel option in their profile for each of the upcoming sessions. The option helps with free cancellation up to 48 hrs before the scheduled session. Sessions cancelled between 48 hours and 12 hours prior to the scheduled time are eligible for 50% refund. Sessions cancelled within 12 hours prior to the scheduled time are not eligible for any refund.
What happens when a Mentor cancels a session I booked?
In case of cancellation by Mentor/CareeoCity, Mentee is eligible for 100% refund.
Can I connect with Mentors outside CareeoCity?
It is prohibited for Mentees to connect with Mentors outside the platform and reserves right to CareeoCity to take strict actions as specified in the Terms & Conditions.
My mentor is slow to respond or not replying — what should I do?
Regular check-ins help keep your mentorship on track. We encourage mentors to connect often so you feel supported and make steady progress.
That said, mentors have busy schedules, so an occasional missed message is natural. If you ever feel your mentor isn’t as engaged as you’d like, kindly ask for more frequent check-ins or a fixed session time. And if the situation doesn’t improve, you can report it through your dashboard or contact us — we’re here to help.
Our aim is simple: to make sure you always feel guided and supported.
How do I access or download my invoices?
You can access the invoice for each of the sessions in your profile.
How do I reschedule a session booked?
Mentees can reschedule a session up to 48 hours prior to the original scheduled time by cancelling the original session and booking a new session at the desired time. If there is less than 48 hours left, the rescheduling request will have to be sent to CareeoCity on mail at info@careeocity.in.
What do the mentor service includes?
Our mentor service gives you one-on-one sessions with an experienced mentor.
You can book a session after reading the mentor’s profile, which includes details like their education, skills, and career experience — so you can choose the best mentor for your needs.
Each session is paid and lasts for 60 minutes. If both you and the mentor feel more time is needed to meet the predefined session goal (which is usually set before booking the session), it can be extended by mutual agreement.
What exactly are considered as a "Session"?
Think of a session as a friendly chat with an expert — just you and your mentor, focused entirely on your goals.
You can book it right from the mentor’s profile. Use the time however you need — maybe to practice for an interview, plan your studies, or learn important skills that will help you get ahead.
It’s your hour to ask questions, get guidance, and walk away feeling clearer and more confident.
Who are the mentors, and what should I (and shouldn’t I) expect from them?
The mentors are highly skilled peers or working professionals with a deep understanding of their subject/profession, who have been where you are right now. They know the challenges of their field and are eager to share their insights, tips, and real experiences to guide you in the right direction.
Can expect
- They’ll help you work towards your personal goals
- From mock interviews to CV feedback to career tips, you’ll get clear, actionable advice you can use right away.
- Your mentor is available to answer your questions, share advice, and guide you whenever you need support.
- No matter where you are in your journey, your mentor will be your reliable go-to person.
Can’t Expect
- Doing the work for you: Your mentor won’t write your code, build features, or spend hours debugging — they’ll guide you so you can solve it yourself and actually learn.
- Being on call 24/7: Mentors have their own busy lives. They’ll respond as soon as they can, but they may not always be available instantly.
- Instant back-and-forth chats: A few hours of silence doesn’t mean you’re forgotten. Mentorship is about steady, meaningful guidance — not constant messaging.
- Teaching from a textbook: You won’t get a fixed curriculum or lectures that you could find online. Instead, your mentor focuses on you and your unique needs.
