Welcome to Careeocity (the “Platform”), a mentorship platform that connects students and working professionals (“Mentees”) with experienced professionals (“Mentors”). By accessing, browsing, or using careeocity.com (“Website”), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.

If you do not agree with any of these Terms, you must stop using the Platform immediately.

1. Eligibility

- You must be at least 16 years of age to register as a Mentee.

- Mentors must be at least 21 years of age and have relevant academic or professional experience.

- By registering, you confirm that the information provided to Careeocity is true, complete, and accurate.

2. Role of Careeocity

- Careeocity is only a facilitation platform that brings together Mentors and Mentees.

- We do not guarantee the outcome of any mentorship session, guidance, or advice provided by Mentors.

- Mentors are independent individuals, not employees or agents of Careeocity.

- Careeocity is not responsible for the accuracy, reliability, or effectiveness of any advice shared.

3. User Accounts

- Users must create an account to access services. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

- Any activity under your account will be considered your responsibility.

- Careeocity reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User Responsibilities

- Mentees must respect the time, privacy, and expertise of Mentors.

- Mentors must provide guidance in good faith, based on their personal/professional knowledge and experience.

- Users agree not to engage in any abusive, discriminatory, unlawful, or disrespectful behavior.

- Users agree not to share, resell, or misuse mentorship session content without written consent.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Sessions can only be canceled if the cancellation request is made at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled session start time.
Cancellations made less than 30 minutes before the session start time are not allowed and will not be eligible for refunds.
Refunds are not valid for consultations booked within 30 minutes of the session start time.
Users who miss or do not attend a scheduled session will not be eligible for refunds.

6. Intellectual Property

- All content on the Platform, including but not limited to logos, text, graphics, videos, and software, belongs to Careeocity unless otherwise stated.

- Users may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify content without written permission.

- Mentors retain ownership of their personal knowledge, but any uploaded written or video content on the Platform grants Careeocity a limited, royalty-free license to display and share it for service purposes.

7. Confidentiality

- Mentors and Mentees must not disclose or misuse any personal or professional information shared during mentorship sessions.

- Careeocity respects your privacy and will handle your data per our Privacy Policy.

8. Prohibited Activities

When using Careeocity, you agree NOT to:

- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.

- Harass, abuse, or intimidate Mentors, Mentees, or other users.

- Engage in illegal activities or promote harmful conduct.

- Attempt to hack, disrupt, or misuse the Platform in any way.

9. Disclaimer of Warranty

- Mentorship is based on personal experiences and professional perspectives. Careeocity does not warrant or guarantee accuracy, completeness, or outcomes of mentorship.

- All mentorship is provided “as-is” without warranties of any kind, whether expressed or implied.

10. Limitation of Liability

- Careeocity, its founders, partners, and affiliates will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from use of the Platform.

- Mentorship decisions and actions taken by Mentees based on advice are solely their responsibility.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Careeocity, its employees, directors, and affiliates harmless from any claims, damages, or costs arising out of:

- Your use of the Platform.

- Your violation of these Terms.

- Your infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Modifications

Careeocity reserves the right to modify, update, or change these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Platform signifies acceptance of the changes.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India.
