Hi, I’m Riju Mondal, a third-year student pursuing an Integrated and Interdisciplinary BS-MS in Earth and Environmental Sciences at IISER Thiruvananthapuram. My academic interests lie in remote sensing, hydrology, and environmental challenges, especially in regions like the Himalayas. I’ve worked with datasets such as GRACE and GLDAS and enjoy applying data-driven approaches to understand real-world environmental problems. But I’m definitely not just about academics. I’m actively involved in extracurriculars—I’ve been part of drama, dance, and acting activities, and I’ve also taken on responsibilities as a club/event head. I’m enthusiastic about exploring different dance styles and enjoy being on stage just as much as working on research problems. I like to keep a balance between studies and creative expression, and I believe college life is about both learning and experiencing.
